Homeward bound and this
time we are both in first class!

Bruce got his first
taste of travelling in first class. It was amazing, but
as he made clear to Geoff, it was an experience that would
be unlikely to be repeated... |
|
|
|
| |
...to which Geoff muttered
something under his breath which sounded a bit like "we'll
see about that!". |

After breakfast, our
flight attendant couldn't get Bruce's seat to return to
the landing position. After some discussion, it was decided
that one of the crew members would sit on the flight deck
for landing and Bruce would sit in their seat. |
|
|
| |
He was treated to an
amazing view, sitting just outside the flight deck and looking
down the full length of the Airbus A380 as we came in to
land. |
|
|
| |
|
| |
As a consolation for
his malfunctioning seat, we were both invited to visit the
flight deck after landing. It was an experience that Bruce
will never forget as he sat and chatted to all three of
the flight deck crew. The Captain even offered Bruce his
seat and a chance to wear his hat... |
|
|
|
| |
Not content with wearing
the Captain's cap, Bruce enhanced the photo to complete
the look! |

| |
A day later, Geoff tried
out the solar powered feature that Des had given us before
we left. We both love it! |

A couple of weeks later,
Mom sent us these photo memories of her big birthday. Des
made the montage board from photos which we took. |
|
|
|
| |
We had this photo copied
onto a canvas backing and Des found the space to hang it...
a feat in itself! |
