After a pleasant drive
from Marloth Park, we were back in Benoni and getting Mom
settled back into her home. |
|
|
| |
Geoff bought another
South African speciality... koeksisters! |

A visit from Anne, a
cousin of Brenda, our very good friend in the UK. |

We were very happy to
have a visit from Dirk and Marina, who brought along the
latest addition to their family, a German Shepherd puppy
called Savannah. She is gorgeous! |

We treated our hosts
to a meal at a local Portuguese restaurant. |

Jenny treated us to
a peppermint crisp tart. Geoff made sure that he got the
recipe from her, because it was really good. |

Bruce took this video
to show a friend what Mom's home looks like. |

We began our last day
with a light breakfast at the Mugg & Bean. |
|
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
We then did some last
minute shopping at Woolworths. |

We spent our last afternoon
in Benoni at Jackie's home, where we had lunch and helped
her to rearrange her pictures... |
|
|
| |
...as well as helping
her decide what to do with this delightful piece, gifted
to her by one of her clients. |
|
|

It was time to say goodbye
to everybody and to thank them all for being so welcoming
to both of us. These goodbyes are always so difficult, but
we all try to keep the mood as light as possible, hence
the last photo is one of Mandy! |
