Mom's 90th birthday party
at a local restaurant

The big event... Mom's 90th birthday celebration!
What a lovely evening we all had, with plenty of laughter
and possibly one or two tears of happiness.
The celebrations this evening were preceded,
a few days earlier, by a lunch party hosted by Andrea,
the lady who owns and manages the retirement home where
mom lives. It was attended by all of the other ladies
who live in their shared home, plus Mom's good friend,
Gail. Andrea took this video.

On to the main event.
Mom was looking fabulous, posing alongside the cake which
Donna had made for her, whilst still managing to answer
calls and messages on her phone from the many people who
had wished her well. |

treated Mom to a uniquely South African birthday greeting. |

Later, back at home,
Mandy the cat snuggled up to Bruce. Actually, the poor cat
has no real name, but they had to think of one when they
took her to the vet for a visit, so the family came up with
"Mandy"! We decided to call her that for the rest
of our stay. |
