Sights along the Icefields Parkway

After visiting Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, we left the Trans-Canada Highway and travelled north along the Icefields Parkway, a road which passes through remote, high-altitude terrain. We drove for about 40km until we came to the Bow Pass and Peyto Lake Viewpoint. The scenery was stunning!
Driving back south again, we stopped to admire Bow Lake, with its amazing mountainous backdrop
Nearby, the Crowfoot Glacier, so-called because of its three "toes", although some imagination is needed here. The lower toe has disappeared completely and the middle toe is disappearing too.
... and yes, yet more wild flowers growing along the roadside.
