Another day in Vancouver

And suddenly it was our last full day! What happened to the time? We mooched around the City, first taking some photos of the hotel and its surroundings...
...before moving on to the new Library building. Apparently the architect says it is NOT based on the Colisseum....
We then took a trolleybus to the Queen Elizabeth Park gardens.
As you can see, like the Butchart Gardens, they are very colourful.
We than walked (in the 35°C heat) to the Van Dusen Botanical Gardens. These were stunning, and we enjoyed them very much. The volunteers were very friendly and informative, too!
We then made our way back towards Granville Island to get to the Vancouver Museum. As we stood at a street corner with our map, as usual someone came over to help us (I like the Vancouverans!), but this lady took hospitality a further step - she gave us lift in her car to the museum steps! Thank you, Christine, and if by any chance you ever read this, do get in touch!
We finished off the day with an excellent meal at the CinCin Restaurant, dining on the upstairs patio overlooking bustling Robson Street, which is the main shopping street in the city.
