The next day, we took our car (a bright, sparkly red Chrysler PT Cruiser - we were told it was an upgrade!) into the Rockies, stopping at some beautiful places.

First, Lake Louise, where we parked by the The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, a sister hotel to the one where we were staying.

We walked along the lakeside to the river which feeds it. There were some pretty wild flowers along the way. And chipmunks!
