After breakfast, we checked
out and waited a short while for our taxi to arrive. Something
which puzzled us was that we had booked our stay at the
Palazzo Filisio Hotel, yet all the indications at the
reception desk and on the receipt for our room tax referred
to the Palazzo Fiore Hotel. Subsequent research revealed
that the two are different hotels and that this is indeed
the hotel we booked. Perhaps we'll never know the answer.

After a pleasant taxi
ride to Bari Airport, we faced the now familiar long queues
waiting for the check in desks to open. Forty five minutes
later we finally got to check in, after which things went
more smoothly and we were soon at the departure gate in
time to see our plane arriving from Gatwick. |

Once again, we got some
excellent views on the flight back. This is the port of

We landed on time at
Gatwick and before long we were home. Our short break had
turned out to be an interesting one, very relaxing and with
some excellent food. We hope to return there one day and
perhaps explore a bit more of Puglia. |
