Disembark and fly
home from Pula

Tuesday 26th September 2023
Sadly, it was time to go home. Bags offloaded for us to identify, so that they could be loaded onto the coach.

Pula's airport is quite small and doesn't have too many flights, so it was easy to identify our plane.

The flight from Pula to Luton was very pleasant and we got some amazing views. Taking off from Pula we flew towards the east. crossing the Istrian coast.

We turned back and flew west across the peninsula, getting a good view of Pula airport and the city of Pula.

It wasn't long before we crossed the north eastern coast of Italy near the Tagliamento river.

The Dolomites in Belluno, north eastern Italy.

Close to Volderau (south of Innsbruck), Austria.

A little further into Austria, close to Praxmar.

Still in Austria, near the town of Reutte (close to the German border).

Caught on camera! A plane going in the opposite direction near the town of Kempten in southern Germany.

Somewhere south of Stuttgart.

Rastatt, Germany and close to the French border.

The Rhine, between Germany and France.

Close to the Luxembourg border with Germany.

Another plane. This one in Luxembourg.

At this point, cloud cover stopped any more landmark spotting, Luckily the man in charge of the aircraft cabin offered to sing for us... Sweet Caroline!

Final approach to Luton Airport.

A backwards glance at our plane as we disembarked.

A first for us - we caught the Dart shuttle from Luton Airport to Luton Airport Parkway station.

Home on Thameslink, with a lengthy delay at St Albans station thrown in for free!
