An Afternoon in Trapani, Sicily

Thursday 29th September 2022

This was our third visit to Sicily and our second visit to Trapani. Nevertheless, we were looking forward to seeing and doing different things this time. For details of what we did the last time we were in Trapani in 2017, follow this link.

Checking the map, we were surprised to see that Sardinia and Sicily are quite far apart, hence the lunchtime arrival instead of first thing in the morning after sailing overnight. We did, however get some lovely views of the island appearing on the horizon as we sailed towards it.

Our fellow passengers went off to either Erice, which we had visited last time, or Segesta, which we decided not to visit today. The last time we were here we had very little opportunity to see the town, so today we rectified that and explored the town extensively by ourselves.

In the evening we were treated to entertainment in the club lounge. It was all very pleasant.
