Fly to Pisa, drive to Livorno, embark Hebridean Sky and sail

Friday 23rd September 2022

We were due to fly from Heathrow Terminal 5 to Pisa at 12 noon. We decided to treat ourselves to a night at the Sofitel Hotel at the airport the night before to avoid getting an early taxi and potentially getting caught in the morning traffic. Everything went to plan. Our British Airways flight departed on time and we had a very pleasant flight.
We got some lovely views of Windsor Castle as we took off.

The meal (coronation chicken salad) was beautifully presented and very tasty.

Beautiful views as we descended over Livorno heading towards Pisa airport.

We were lucky enough to spot the Hebridean Sky in the port of Livorno.

Pisa airport was very efficient and we were soon on a coach, driving towards Livorno.

Taken from our cabin (506) in Livorno

Our cabin, home for the next 10 days.

It was good to meet our friend Neil, who was, once again, the cruise director.
