Sailing east from
the Falkland Islands

Saturday 17th November 2018

The view from inside our cabin...
...and from outside on the same deck (4).

We attended the mandatory biosecurity briefing, but didn't do a lot more than that today. The sea was lively and Derek wasn't too happy with that. He discovered that the most comfortable place for him was lying flat on his bed and not walking around too much. I was fine, however and spent time relaxing in the club lounge, drinking coffee (with the odd snack, of course), and having periodic spells of standing at the front of deck four and chatting to the other wildlife spotters.

At most times, the ship operates an open bridge policy, so anyone can visit and chat to the crew.

A detailed chart of the waters around South Georgia, which we would be approaching tomorrow.

Déjà vu - the same jigsaw we did last year!
Boots are thoroughly cleaned between all landings.

The list of sightings was growing longer and longer!
