A return to Myrina, Lemnos
and a lovely walk to the village of Kondias

Monday 5th June 2017

Arrival at the port of Myrina, Lemnos

A short coach ride to the start of the 7.2km walk through the countryside (yes, that's the one they advertised as being 3km!). Lots of wild flowers and birdsong to enjoy.

Trifolium angustifolium?
Labiatae of some sort?
But the leaves don't look right...

Scabious of some sort?

Asteriscus?

Cirsium vulgare?

Morello cherries

Mulberries

Refreshments in the village of Kontias, at the end of the hike.

We sailed from Myrina at around lunchtime towards our final stop, Istanbul.

In the late afternoon, a pilot joined us in front of the Gallipoli memorial, to guide us through the Dardenelles.

Next and final stop - Istanbul
