Uno-ko: A visit to Koraku-en Garden in Okayama and then on to Kurashiki

Wednesday 11th May 2016

Today, we were back on the main island of Honshu, at the port of Uno-ko.
Some people elected to go to Naoshima and visit the art museum.
We chose more gardens instead and were taken by coach to the city of Okayama.

The peach ice cream was so good...

...that Geoff wanted one too!

After visiting the garden, we drove to Kurashiki , where we had another lovely lunch at a hotel.

After lunch, we strolled into the preserved area of Kurashiki. It reminded us of the Higashi Geisha district in Kanazawa, but seemed to be more extensive and with more shopping opportunities!

Bruce wanted to try the wasabi ice cream. It was rather good!

The pages from this holiday are not yet complete. Hopefully this sample will give some idea of our experiences.
