Takamatsu: Ritsurin Garden, Noguchi Sculpture Park and Shikoku Village

Tuesday 10th May 2016

We awoke in Takamatsu, which is on the island of Shikoku, the smallest of Japan's four main islands.

The Samurai welcome was not as friendly as we'd had before!

Our first stop today was at the Ritsurin Garden. We loved it.

Black pine, carefully pruned.

Our second visit was here.

We were underwhelmed.

Our final visit for today was at the Shikoku Village - an open air museum of Japanese buildings. Yes, I know.

Bruce braved the rope bridge at the Shikoku Village. Geoff took a photo of him instead!

The pages from this holiday are not yet complete. Hopefully this sample will give some idea of our experiences.
