& Misty Miyajima

Monday 9th May 2016

This morning we were in Hiroshima. It was raining.

Of course, the main reason for our visit to Hiroshima was to visit the Peace Park and to remember the events of 6th August 1945, when the city was hit by an atomic bomb, killing tens of thousands of people.

Over lunch, the ship left the port of Hiroshima. Within an hour, it had anchored off the island of Miyajima for our afternoon excursion (via Zodiac craft) to the island.

The pages from this holiday are not yet complete. Hopefully this sample will give some idea of our experiences.
