It was good to see some familiar landmarks as we approached our final destination, Helsinki. Three years previously, we had stood on land at this exact spot and watched as some big ships had passed through the narrow channel on the final approach to the city.

It was time for the the ship's management to get their hands dirty and help to unload the luggage.
In the case of Wendy, the hotel manager, it was also a case of getting feet dirty... note the discarded shoes!

The passengers were not allowed to disembark until harbour customs and immigration has given their consent and they were nowhere in sight. Jannie spent an anxious half hour waiting for them, but all was well when they finally turned up.

We were very sad to say goodbye to the ship, her crew and our fellow passengers. We had enjoyed the trip immensely.
