After cruising overnight from Oslo,
we awoke to find ourselves moored
close to the town of Marstrand.

The early morning view of Marstrand's harbour was peaceful, but it was soon to get a lot busier, as the yacht races began.

Because of the scheduled races, the ship was unable to get right into the port, so we were taken ashore on the little Zodiacs

The Island Sky, looking very impressive from the walls of the fortress.

Lunch time, and back on the Zodiacs to return to the ship for a bite to eat and a bit of a rest.

After lunch, it was back to shore for a bit more exploring on our own and to do the recommended 5km walk around the island

No idea why this lot were doing what they were doing... Sweden's equivalent of Butlin's?

Unusual blue dragonflies seen in the lily pond

A late afternoon return to the ship
VIP visitors (rumoured to be the owners)
leaving the ship prior to our departure
The Zodiacs were hoisted out of the water and onto the top of the ship

We had our evening meal on the outside deck as we sailed away, en-route for Copenhagen.
It had been a wonderful day!
