14th February 2010 After flying from Benoni to Sydney, we were soon airborne again, en-route to Melbourne

It was great to see a familiar face waiting for us at Melbourne Airport. Tony had very kindly offered to meet us and drive us to our hotel.
Our hotel/apartment was very central and we only had to step out of the front door to get these photos

Tony drove us out to his neck of the woods for a delicious meal, and yes, well, more ice-cream!

More eating, more people watching. We could get used to this... and so could Freddie!

18th February 2010

On our last full day in Melbourne, we were treated by Marjaana and Julian to a very special day out to the Yarra Valley.
Fynbos! In Julian and Marjaana's garden.

Aaaah, again!

Our lunch stop was at the excellent "Outlook Hill" restaurant in the Yarra Valley. The view from the restaurant was pretty good too.

Champagne tasting at Domaine Chandon. Well, if you insist...

Our last views of the city
We seem to have packed a lot into our four full days in Melbourne and would both like to return there one day.
We were up early on the morning of Friday 19th February for the next leg of our journey (to Wellington).
