Agra Fort

17th November 2009

Another executive decision. We were not going to go on the 5.00 a.m. excursion to the bird sanctuary. Geoff was still suffering and we had reports that it wasn't worth the effort anyway. Once again, our travelling companions confirmed this when they returned to the train. Besides which, we had a very full day ahead of us, with two major tourist attractions; the Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal!

An unbelievably exotic view of the Taj Mahal, taken from the fort at Agra.
This was the first glimpse we had had of the mausoleum and we would have to wait until later that day to see it at close range.

After lunch at the Jaypee Palace hotel, it was time to see the highlight of the holiday... the Taj Mahal!
