Jack visited us in September 1996. We took him and Joan to the Lakes, where we stayed at two of our favourite hotels, Miller Howe (near Windermere) and The Old Vicarage, in the southern part of the lake district. We can't find any photos(!) but it was a nevertheless a very memorable week of being pampered in luxurious surroundings and featuring a spectacular drive over the Hardnott Pass.
